MPS athletes in the news

McDole Performance would like to congratulate Joe Doerksen on his big win at UFC 113 in Montreal this past weekend. Joe just came off a fight in Detroit 3 weeks earlier and took this fight with less than three weeks notice. That being said he took no time off from training and you could say his conditioning is part of what helped him in his big win against Tom Lawlor. After exchanging blows in the first round, Joe came out energized in the second and got an early submission in the second round.

Doerksen will be in action again soon in CFC 5 in Winnipeg along with fellow McDole Performance athletes Lance Cartwright and Augi Giuseppe.

CFC 5 in Winnipeg

We would also like to wish our CFLers good luck going into camps next month. Jordan Matechuk is heading into his fourth season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as their starting longsnapper, and will play all special teams, as well as fullback/linebacker this season. Don Oramasionwu is heading into his second season with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Don is looking to capitalize on a successful rookie campaign that saw him record 14 tackles and 3 sacks in limited action. Finally Eddie Steele will be heading to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with high expectations after being selected 22nd over all in this years CFL draft.

Good luck fellas, we know all the work you did this off season is going to show on the field this year.
